I guess I'll just come right out and say it...I SUCK at blogging. I suppose that means it is no longer a secret. Oh well. For some reason though, I'm going to try it out, and see if I can improve the looks of it and make it a bit better. I got distracted looking at my sister and cousins blogs today, and I figured it wouldn't hurt to get mine working again too, and this time
NOT for school (ick!). Also, my fabulous cousin Tara told me that I should start a blog for my photography stuff so people can see my skills and what not. I decided to first go with this personal blog, and then once I actually have skills with photography I'll start a different blog solely for that or whatever. Again, I'm horrid at doing blogs, so this can be practice until I need to be good at it for whatever reason. So don't judge me.
Let's start by telling you a little about what's going on in my life (and perhaps the only thing, seeing as I don't have a job yet).
- I started a photography course online yesterday
- I also started a Photoshop Elements class as well.
put to good use when..." My sister has her baby in September! :) Oh joy!!! A baby boy. It's going to be awesome. I hope she's excited, because she is going to have hundreds of thousands of photos of the little tyke. So many, she won't know what to do with them and will get sick of seeing pictures of her kid (lol. As if this could happen to any mother). Whelp, that's all for now. I'll upload the pictures that I took for the first assignment. No editing is done on them cuz he was just looking to see that we knew how to work the controls on our cameras. There's nothing too special about them. And then I guess I can upload a picture I edited thanks to the first 2 lessons on PE. Let me know what you think. Any critiques would be WONDERFUL and MUCH APPRECIATED, whether you know anything about photography or not. :) Gratzi. Enjoy.
The difference in these photos is the aperture. That's basically all there was to this part of the assignment. The first photo is with a clear background. Second is an in between. Third is the most blurred (In case ya couldn't see with your own eyes, of course then there would be no point in me posting these pictures).
Here we used a Fast shutter speed to freeze the action...and a longer shutter speed to blur the action.
Have a fabulous day!!!
AWESOME!!! This is what I have been waiting for my whole life!
ReplyDeleteI can't BELIEVE it's taken you SO long to get into some classes!!!! I really think you have SUCH a talent for this and you definitely need to keep it up! I am excited to see what you come up with!
And you're right, I won't mind that you can take lots of pictures of my own children. :O) Maybe you can be there to take pictures right when he's born!
I don't do my own backgrounds with digital scrapbooking like Tara, but I can tell you how to change yours if you find one you like. Just give me a call.
Well first off, I'm so glad that I'm your "fabulous" cousin!! :) I think you're one amazing girl!
ReplyDeleteI LOOVE the pictures. You did a great job and I think learning about your camera and how it works is probably the most important thing. I'm so happy you're taking classes. That's cool how you can take action pictures, too. Very neat!
If you ever want to customize your blog CALL ME! You can come over and I'll teach you and help you get it going. It's really not too hard. You just have to learn a few things.
I'm excited for you to become a wonderful professional photographer :)
